interesting choice, warm color background matching warm colors in the subject, though you could have used a cool color, such as green or blue, for the background which would have made the subject pop

Is that at the time in I did this drawing, I was exercising more monochrome paintings, so I chose similar colors, but blue is an interesting option!=D

Thanks for the comment and visit!:hug:

of course, analogous colors also work, making one feel we're all one happy family and no contention, no contrast

If set became a happy family is what matters!!!;)
I already did drawings that turned a family unhappy...I redid the drawing.

Monochrome drawings serve to get out of my routine of drawings more colorfull.=)

I wish you a beautiful day my friend!

I was saying red/green is good, but also red/red or warm/warm works too.

Is true, but I liked your suggestion of red / orange and blue or green, is a good combination! Mainly blue, orange and red (I have a tendency to wear blue colors...).

I usually store in a folder on my laptop images that have a combination of colors that I like, and use as a reference, it is a good help.

Tantos vermelhos vivos lindos ;A;

hahahaha, obrigada!=D

This new deviantion remind me of your work "fogo". I like to think that in "fogo" you represent the fire elemental and now you show us the queen of the fire elementals. Can I suppose that the fire is your favorite element in Nature or maybe you love the red color!? :;P:
For sure this queen is serious and sophisticated and "hot" as the element that represents.

I like more than blue, you may notice that most of my drawings is blue in the middle. As I had drawn the Ice Queen, I found it interesting draw also the Fire Queen.=)

I like most of the Ice Queen!!!=D
